There will be no Aussie Millions in January 2021 as the poker festival, alongside many other poker events scheduled for next year at Crown Melbourne, have been “placed on hold” in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Crown Melbourne made the announcement on its website without giving an exact timeline for when the tournament will take place, adding that the health and safety of players and employees remain its top priority. It assured everyone that it will continue to monitor the situation and will release a new schedule, once it’s deemed safe for them to host poker events.

Back in March 2020, Crown Melbourne also pulled the plug on the 2020 Crown Poker Championship which was supposed to take place on April 15-27. The casino eventually announced an indefinite cancellation of all of its 2020 tournaments.
